This mahogany Federal style table marks Tommy’s introduction to online interactive education. Fifteen guys from around the country met with Tommy online to learn how to create the basic elements of Federal style furniture construction and decoration. This unique table was the outcome of that project with four legs each exemplifying a different variation on Federal style table legs. The large inlay medallion on the top of the table is an iconic Federal embellishment. Each pie-shaped section was toasted on one side with hot sand so that when assembled they would look ruffled. Tommy accentuated this appearance of dimension by applying the ebony semi-ovals at the end of each pie-shaped section.
Could you please show the details of each leg that made it different from the others? For example, there seems to be no photo at all of the front feet and the others are given only incidental treatment … ie; they “happened to be in the photo”, rather than the photo specifically focusing on them.
i want to know about the pie shaped things that are on the table? cause i don’t see them, anywhere on that table.. and yes i do like this table a lot..
