One of the more unique communities in the world lies just off the coast of Miami. It’s called Stiltsville, and it’s a collection of architecturally interesting homes standing above the water on stilts. Built over time since the 1930s, the homes were threatened with demolition in the late 90s until a petition drive saved the community when it was placed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
