Drafts in your home cost you money, and plugging those leaks can save up to 20 percent on heating and cooling costs. Finding leaks and cracks used to require the help of a professional but now with Black & Decker’s new Thermal Leak Detector you can do it yourself. The handheld detector uses infrared sensors that measure the surface temperature along flooring, molding, window frames and walls, helping you find those hidden leaks. It will be available early 2009, according to the Black & Decker Web site.
