What are the 10 greenest cities in America? Well, if you define “greenest” as cities with the greatest number of Energy Star-qualified buildings, the results may surprise you. Los Angeles heads the list, which is surprising to me because of its reputation for smog, while Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth are in the top five. It appears we Northerners have some catching up to do: New York City, Philadelphia, Boston and Baltimore are nowhere to be found on the list.
