The 10th annual Intelligent Use of Water summit recently convened in Melbourne, Australia with Australian and U.S. officials discussing the future of the Earth’s water supply. Presented by Rain Bird, the summit is increasingly important in our era of climate change and population growth. One of the presenters applauded the fact that in in some areas of Australia, water use was down to 140 liters per person per day while pointing out in the U.S. water use per person is still around 600 liters. Obviously, Americans still have some work to do on water preservation.
