The Consumer Product Safety Commission recently issued two safety recalls that you should be aware of.
The first is the Evenflo Top-of-Stairs Plus Wood Gates, a safety device to keep small children away from the stairs. In a number of instances the slats on the gates have broken, posing a falling hazard to infants and toddlers. About 150,000 units were recalled.

The second recall is of 5,700 units of Lennox Hearth Products’ Vent-Free Gas Logs and Fireplaces due to a gas leak and fire hazard posed by the front burners of the units failing to ignite. Specific model information can be found at the CPSC website.
