Sears Hometown Stores is continuing its support for military veterans by giving away one of its stores.

You read that right: they are giving away a Sears Hometown Store.

From now until June 25, qualified military veterans can enter to win a store through the contest site, which is cleverly called “Operation Stores and Stripes.” Once the “recruitment” period ends, all entrants will go through a screening process and qualified candidates will advance to the second phase of the competition. Sounds a little like boot camp.

On the Sears Hometown Stores blog, you can read a short interview with a veteran who currently owns four Sears Hometown Stores. Sounds like SHS has figured out that folks with a military background make good business owners.

Additionally, the Sears “Heroes at Home” program, which helps support military families, has been refreshed for the Spring. See how you can help.

Well done, Sears Hometown Stores and Sears, for supporting our military.
