P&G recently launched the Give Health Clean Water Blogivation campaign, a social sustainability/social media movement that will tap into the female blogging community to bring clean water to those in need.

A partnership between Changents.com and P&G’s Children’s Safe Drinking Water program, Give Health Clean Water Blogivation is encouraging female bloggers to post on the site about clean water and get readers to vote on that post to help donate clean water. For every post and vote, P&G will donate a day of clean drinking water (2 liters) to a person in need.

The blogger with the most votes by August 27, 2010 wins a trip to Africa on a clean water expedition and a chance to write the exclusive story. The winner also gets $15,000 to donate to a water-focused charity.

Cool concept. Great cause. It certainly gets a person thinking about fresh water shortages across the world and the way we undervalue this precious resource at times.

For those who do have an interest in saving water at home, take a look at these water-saving devices and tips. It may not be long before we’re all forced to have these products in our home.

And to all those female bloggers and writers out there: get on the Blogivation site and start blogging!
