The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recently announced the recall of over 120,000 Trisonic CFLs due to a fire hazard. Apparently the bulbs can overheat and catch fire. At least two incidences resulting in minor property damage have been reported.
Consumers who own these bulbs should stop using them immediately. The importer company–Eastern America Trio Products Inc. of Flushing, N.Y.–should be contacted about a refund.
