The CPSC just announced the recall of some 13,000 Circo Children’s Taks Lamps sold exclusively at Target stores and on Target.com. The task lamps have been found to overheat, causing the adhesive inside the lamp socket to melt and migrate into the bulb area of the socket. There the cooled glue can adhere to the light bulb base and make it challenging to remove, which can result in a broken light bulb and a laceration risk.

Additionally, the melted flammable glue that migrates onto the electrical components of the lamp poses a fire risk.

Fortunately no on has been hurt so far.
