Some 206,000 Target Step Stools with Storage were recently recalled due to a fall hazard. The wooden step stools can break apart or collapse under the weight of the user, posing a fall risk.
There have been 26 reports of stools breaking or collapsing and at least fourteen of those incidents involved children. Two adults fractured their wrist from falls and one fractured her hip and pelvis.
The stools have two steps and come in a variety of colors. Be sure to check out the CPSC recall page to see if you own one of these step stools. If you do, stop using immediately and return it to a Target store for a full refund.
