Armoire

This armoire, AKA linen press, as it was particularly configured for storing pressed linens in the days before linen closets, was constructed from figured (or curly) cherry as part of a bedroom set which also includes the hope chest and dresser featured below. The entire set was made of wood from the same tree. Throughout the project Tommy took great pains to accentuate the wood’s unique grain utilizing the sapwood as a design element.

    I realize I may be dreaming, even through a 3rd party, i would love to have rough dimensions of the armoire. I am open for suggestions. Thank you for an excellent TV show.

    i would like to build a large book shelf, that can be assembled and disassembled for moving around, 48″ x 90″x 14″ deep.
    adjustable shelves, with rounded front edges.
    something strong and durable

    that armoire is so very beautiful looking.. i would love to have one of them at my house.. i mean i do have a linen closet, but that armoire is one of the most beautiful things i have seen in such a long time.. and i really do want one of them..
