I figured it was worth another postWhen I was 35 years old I was forced to make the career change from union carpenter to woodworker.. this secretary is the fruit of the education I earned at the North Bennett St School ...that school and this piece i built as a student introduced me to Bob Vila and as a result my career path turned to video production and ultimately TV production ..My woodworking career has seen many highs and lows over the last 15+ years ..I have built some amazing pieces I never expected to be capable of ..I have met some incredible woodworkers .. I am most grateful to all who have encouraged me from the beginning and who have become fans and friends along the way!! Now my path has brought me to a place I have been terrified of since 1991.. I am committed to helping families like mine heal the wounds of unsolved murder.. I am not 100% sure how it’s all going to work out but I do know I am finally on the right life path .. it’s funny I literally fell into woodworking ..followed the opportunities and went pretty far ..now at 52 I am setting out on another new career path
and with your continued support there isn’t much I can’t accomplish .. so thanks .. and don’t be afraid of change ..if your interested to see more about Murder Matters www.murdermatters.com

I figure i would share my process and see what you do differently.
1 find the high spot of the floor and set my laser
2 screw boxes together with appropriate shims at the bottom
3 screw boxes together with shims set at the same distance as in the front behind the face frame
4 make sure the boxes are straight and plumb before I shim and screw to the wall studs ..I don’t think I missed anything ? It’s all done 😊
