The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently issued a statement concerning a voluntary recall of an indoor/outdoor gas fireplace from Heat & Glo. Apparently their Twilight II and Twilight IIB Gas Fireplaces have an issue with the framing header area above the fireplaces. When in use, it rises to unsafe temperatures, posing a potential fire and injury hazard. Heat & Glo owners should check the model name and number of their fireplaces to see if they are affected by this recall. Appointments can be made for free repair. Go to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website for more details on the recall, and if you have a Twilight II or IIB fireplace, please discontinue use until the issue is addressed.
