Here’s a story to think about when you feel you are having a bad day. As bad as things are, just be thankful you are not the plumber who accidentally set a five million pound (that’s ten million American dollars to you and me) mansion on fire while attempting a soldering job on his first day on the project. The plumber was putting the finishing touches on a four million dollar renovation before he touched off the inferno which engulfed the eight bedroom mansion. Did I mention the house was so beautiful it was once featured in the 1981 film The French Lieutenant’s Woman? More than 60 firefighters were called in and thankfully no one was hurt. A teenage apprentice is believed to have tripped off the blaze when his blow torch ignited some insulation. So relax if your remodeling project is not going as planned, it could be much worse.
