One company has found a unique way to recycle old bikes and create some cool-looking furniture in the process. Michigan’s Bike Furniture Design makes custom pieces out of old bicycles’ chromed steel rims and handle bars, aluminum and carbon rims, high-quality frames and road bike-sized inner tubes. The company has been making the handcrafted, contemporary/modern furniture from recycled and reused bicycles since 1990.
