When it comes to fossil fuels, natural gas is widely considered the cleanest. On average, an 1,800-square-foot home using natural gas will produce 46 percent less carbon emissions than electrical power. Now a group has formed to build awareness of this valuable resource. The Council for Responsible Energy has membership from 170 organizations representing 6.5 million households. They will have a booth at the International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas this week where they will launch their new Carbon Emissions Calculator, allowing consumers to see how much natural gas can reduce their carbon footprint.
